Nel Evans

Nel Evans is a contemporary British artist whose work brings the tranquillity and timelessness of nature indoors. Raised in the heart of the Lake District, Nel’s art draws from her roots, blending earthy tones and organic forms that feel as enduring as the landscapes she grew up in. Her pieces are a quiet invitation to pause and appreciate the simplicity and beauty that nature provides—a quality she believes can elevate an interior space from merely beautiful to deeply atmospheric.

Trained in Illustration at Manchester School of Art and refined at London’s Art Academy, Nel has worked on projects for national hospitality chains and set designs for Queer as Folk and her art has appeared in UK exhibitions, from Kendal’s Brewery Arts Centre to London’s Barbican.

Primarily working in oils with natural earth pigments, Nel crafts each piece to reflect and catch light in a way that enhances any room. For her, art is a core part of any interior, designed to flow seamlessly with materials and textures and her work currently appears in both private and commercial spaces across the UK and abroad".

ConTOUR #3

“Exposure to nature is essential to quality of life—a universal thread that connects us all. Through my work, often inspired by literature, folklore, and found objects, I invite viewers to see the world anew and discover beauty in the everyday. By distilling an object to its essence, I reveal a quiet elegance often hidden in plain sight.”

Bespoke Art Commissions for Thoughtfully Designed Spaces

Nel’s commission process is a creative collaboration tailored to fit into each unique project. She begins with an in-depth consultation with designers, architects or clients to understand the vision and needs of the space—focusing on details like scale, palette and atmosphere to ensure every element aligns.

After refining the concept, Nel presents a detailed proposal, complete with sketches or colour samples, for review.
